| Okay, here is our story. This is a 68 RS/SS Camaro that we had and are
going to restore. We started with a really nice car from the beginning, but after
disassembling, we found rust that we did not know existed (same old story). We are
going to do a color change on this car (shame! shame!), but I wanted a black Camaro and so
as the story goes, do it like you like it. We took these pictures before we really
got started. Look how nice the seat bottoms are and the floor pans are (we were really
surprised) |

| This
is after we started to strip everything off of the car to get ready for the paint and body
work. We thought this would take a long time and allowed a few weeks for it (we were
only able to do this in the evenings). It actually took us just a few days. We
bagged and marked all the parts and took tons of pictures so that we would know were
everything went when we reassembled it. We hope this will not be like Christmas, when you
put together toys and end up with a bag full of extra nuts and bolts when your done. |

| So now it is out of our hands and in the hands of our trusty
paint and body man's. We feel real confident with his ability to take it from here. This
is stage one and it was almost scarey to see our Camaro like this. I did not realize
all the stages of paint and body. It went from looking like a really nice car to
looking like it had been in a major accident in just a few month. |

| This is when we could really see some improvement and really
started to get excited about our restoration. Our paint and body guy has really done
a lot of work, and quality work at that. It's starting to really come together.
He is in the process of blocking it now. |

| Here is the day we were waiting for, finally we can see the
black paint. We had our inner fenders painted the same color as the exterior of the car to
give them a nice gloss look. It really adds to the engine compartments appearance.
I am soooo ready to drive my car. |
Now we are in the final primer and ready for paint! |
It is really coming together now. We just had it
painted and clear coated. These pictures are before the wet sanding. |

Finally we got our car back from the painters. We
brought it back without the front clip on it so that we can detail the engine compartment
easier. Then we will take it back to the paint shop and they will put it back
together. The engine pictures below are before shots. |
| These next pictures are the work in progress. We have
used Por 15 on the subframe and and going to sandblast the other parts and repaint them.
We are taking it all apart slowly, so that we can remember how to put it back
together, (that's the scary part) |
We are still detailing the engine
compartment. The weather has really put a damper on our
restoration. It is cold outside and we are fair weather restorers. |

A Special Thanks to Thomas Mouser
for his help with the front end. |
| We are getting ready to replace all of our
lines with stainless steel lines - provided by Fine Lines. |

Thanks to Tommy, Russell and Thomas for all their help
these past few weeks. |
| These last 15 pictures were taken right before
we took it back to Sachse Rod Shop to have the front sheet metal put back
on. We can't wait to get it back, then we get to start taking
out the rear springs, fuel tank, etc. We are having a great time
with this project, and are talking about planning our next one. |
| We finally got the front clip put back on and
now we are going to restore the rear end and replace the fuel tank.
The paint turned out really nice, please excuse the wheels, that is one of
the last things we are going to do. |

I hope you haven't given up on us,
we moved, and so our restoration got put on the back burner. We have now
replaced the fuel tank and restored the rear end. We found the rear end
cover on ebay and had to have it. I guess you have noticed if you have been
following the restoration, that the car now is Floyd's restoration instead
of Patti's. I (Patti) got another Camaro now (see it to the
left), and Floyd is finishing this one for himself. |

Patti's 69 BB Convertible, 4 spd w/air. |

Getting a little bit closer, but now Floyd has
decided to put a 4 speed in it. Oh well, a guys gotta do what a guys gotta
do. |
